Mr. Carlo Riva, founder of the iconic Riva brand now under the Ferretti Group, passed away on April 10, 2017 in his beloved Sarnico, Italy, home of one of the oldest luxury shipyards.
Mr Riva was a true great in the marine industry, a visionary creator of boats, a master of style, a giant of the Italian industrial and entrepreneurial history, who showed us all the true meaning of passion, creativity and love for beauty. His boundless innovation energy has made him the undisputed Master of boating of the 20th century, whose extraordinary creations have already become part of history.
Carlo Riva’s boats will go down in history as the most beautiful boats ever created, a source of inspiration for all of us who feel strongly for the great responsibility of preserving and passing down the most important brand in the nautical world.
