Ray White Marine is the exclusive distributor in Australia and NZ for the Greek-built Technohull range of performance RIBS

Techno Tender

Greek luxury RIB producer, Technohull has appointed Ray White Marine as their exclusive distributor in Australia and New Zealand.

Several initial orders have already been placed ahead of the summer season. Manufactured in Athens and headed by ex-offshore RIB racing champion, Gerry Petratos, Technohull builds custom centre-console GRP and Carbon Fibre hulls with open or cabin versions that range from the entry level 6.8-metre to the popular 41’ OMEGA fitted with outboard, jet inboard, shaft of arneson drive systems.

Established in 2005, the company has experienced annual growth of 50 percent with a 40 percent increase in exports. Petratos called the arrangement as “a promising collaboration” due to “Ray White Marine’s experience and expertise in representing recognised, high-end brands”.

The off-shore RIBS have done well in Croatia, Turkey, Greece and France. The factory is self-funded has plans to release several new models over the next 12 months.

“In a challenging global marketplace we see the Australia and New Zealand region having huge potential due to the climate, ocean conditions and client demands,” said Petratos.

“We welcome Brock Rodwell and his team to the family and look forward to heading downunder for Sanctuary Cove and Sydney Boat Shows.”

With two of the 999s outboard versions already enroute to Sydney, the new entrant to the market will focus on avid day boaters and larger boat owners looking for a stylish tender or chase boat.

“Clients have been asking for this solution for a while,” said Brock Rodwell, International Sales Director for Ray White Marine.

“For example, they may want day trips at 70 knots to Pittwater and back without sacrificing having a comfortable entertaining platform. It caters for many markets, especially our larger vessel clientele, typically 21 metres and above, wanting another toy.”

Speaking from Europe where he is finalising summer orders Rodwell added, “There is a huge market in local waters for clients looking for high quality, high speed, dry performance ribs – getting long distances in a short amount of time in sheer comfort and style.”

CRN will be present at the Boat Show with a stand in the SYBAss area, which gathers all the leading superyacht builders in the world.

The US boat show, which this year has reached its 57th edition, is one of the world’s most prestigious showcases for recreational boating, attracting all the major brands in this sector. This year too, CRN is here to reiterate the strategic importance of the American market, both as regards the brand’s already satisfactory – and yet potentially growing – business volume and thanks to the presence of Owners increasingly interested in purchasing custom-made superyachts.

“CRN exports 95% of its production, and the Americas are a strategic market, holding a huge potential”states Ferretti Group CEO and CRN Chairman Alberto Galassi. “Overseas, Italian yachts are considered as the most prestigious and desirable ones, as is the case with leading haute couture and car brands. CRNis an ambassador of Italy’s excellence in the construction of bespoke pleasure vessels. Indeed, thanks to its expertise, CRN can meet the wishes and needs of a cosmopolitan clientele like the one living in the United States and in Central and South America, by conceiving and building unique, truly tailor-made yachts for extremely selective and demanding Owners”.

“Best Refit” category, 73 m M/Y Yalla in the “Best Power” 65m plus category, and 55 m M/Y Atlante –CRN’s latest jewel – in the “Best Power” 40 m to 65 m category.

Australia’s newest & largest capacity Superyacht available for charter

Australia’s newest & largest capacity Superyacht available for charter

Imagine your next business function, cocktail party or family holiday on this luxurious $20 million, 122ft superyacht, surveyed to carry 120 passengers making it the largest of its kind available for charter in Australia.

‘Ghost II’ has just arrived on our shores and is the crown jewel among the many vessels offered by Ray White Marine Charters in the country, according to CEO, Rick Rodwell.

“It’s a beautiful European-style yacht, nothing like the clunky ferries that offer similar capacity,” he said.

“It has been specifically designed for luxury charters and cocktail functions. It is essentially a floating private resort that promises passengers the journey of a lifetime.”

Featuring stunning lounge areas and lavish interiors, two decks and an extended balcony, the European-inspired yacht boasts five en-suite staterooms and impeccable finishes throughout.

Chartering the yacht will set you back around $3700 per hour for a minimum of three hours.

“That’s fully skippered. It includes the captain, crew, hostess and a choice of gourmet beverages and catering,” Rodwell said”

“It is bespoke service; you can go and do whatever you want,” he said, including making use of the fully equipped galley, Castoldi 16-foot tender and jet ski garaged within.

Longer charters of a week or more are also available and could see the vessel cater for a family holiday or business charter, with the Sydney-based vessel able to sail as far as Western Australia, the Kimberleys or even overseas.

Compared to similar vessels overseas, the price is quite reasonable, Rodwell said, as there are $50 million boats on their books in the Mediterranean that cost a few hundred thousand dollars a week to rent.

“Ray White Marine Charters offers vessels of all sizes and descriptions on a global scale,” he said, adding that most of their Australian boats cater for between 10 and 150 guests.

The charter division of Ray White Marine is another arm of the fast-growing marine business which is the exclusive Australian and New Zealand distributor of Ferretti Group, including leading global brands Ferretti, Pershing, Riva and Custom Line.

To celebrate the launch of their charter division and arrival of Ghost II on our shores, Ray White Marine is celebrating with an exclusive VIP Cocktail function and twilight cruise on Sydney Harbour, Friday 28 October to showcase the superyacht to invitation only guests.

With promotional partners including the Robb Report, Magari Estates and Fasoli Gino Wines, it is sure to be an event as extravagant as the yacht it will be hosted on.

CRN to present its design projects at the Monaco Yacht Show

CRN, the Italian shipbuilder and brand of the Ferretti Group specialising in the construction of fully-custom steel and light aluminium alloy pleasure vessels between 40 and 100 m in length, has chosen the Monaco Yacht Show to present some of its new design projects, conceived to turn even the most challenging requirements of particularly demanding owners into reality.

CRN is constantly developing new concepts, also thanks to the cooperation with international designers, including Zuccon International Project, Omega Architects, Francesco Paszkowski Design, and Nuvolari Lenard, who have pencilled some of the most iconic yachts in CRN’s fleet.

55-metre M/Y CRN Superconero – Zuccon International Project
The name of this yacht draws inspiration from the historic ‘SuperConero’, dating from the 1960s. This vessel, designed by Zuccon International Project and engineered by CRN Engineering, is 55 metres long and 9 metres wide, and falls within the 500 GRT class.

This magnificent vessel features all the main solutions conceived by CRN, such as the balcony that can be enjoyed even when cruising; the terrace opening up onto the sea, perfect when the yacht is at anchor; the aft beach club; and the float-in garage for the tender, which results in one single, open area connected to the beach club, creating a wide lounge area at the sea level.

With her huge internal volumes and the extensive use of glass for the large full-height windows ensuring a constant visual contact with nature, the 55 m M/Y Superconero is a truly unique vessel and a real dream for those owners wishing to experience total freedom at sea.

61-metre M/Y CRN Oceansport and 75-metre M/Y Oceansport – Omega Architects
Pencilled by Omega Architects, these two 61-metre and 75-metre megayachts, having a beam of 11 and 13 metres respectively, draw inspiration from the same concept, which perfectly matches CRN’s DNA. Indeed, the Oceansport line combines the outstanding seaworthiness ensured by CRN naval platforms, the sporty, streamlined profile characterizing all Omega Architects’ creations, and harmonious, slender lines, further enhanced by the dark side windows that are joined together to create a long, uninterrupted dark glazing cutting across both the main and upper decks.

Both Oceansport models are designed and engineered with a painstaking care for proportion, optimizing the areas devoted to guests, the spaciousness and airiness of those conceived for conviviality, and the beach club with a wellness and fitness area, featuring a sauna, a gym, and a pool. Both yachts can boast full-height windows on both sides in the aft area of the main deck, ensuring a breathtaking view on the sea while preserving the guests’ privacy.

72-metre M/Y CRN – Francesco Paszkowski Design
While drawing inspiration from and maintaining the family feeling with 61 m M/Y Saramour (the first superyacht built by CRN in cooperation with Architect Paszkowski), this new 72m project can rely on much larger volumes and introduce innovative architectural solutions.

The philosophy behind this project revolves around three basic principles: increasingly slender lines that result in a very light silhouette; rounded shapes making the yacht generally more compact; and an extensive use of linear glazed surfaces as well as see-through balconies, which stylishly eliminate any barriers between the yacht and the water, air, nature.

72 metres long and 13 metres wide, this vessel shows great care for onboard conviviality and relaxation, as proven by several dining areas, an entertainment area on the upper deck, as well as the gym, sauna, and massage room for guests. The relationship with the surrounding elements – mainly air and water – is a key feature in this yacht’s concept, which has been realised by creating terraces overlooking the sea, outdoor swimming pools, wide glazed surfaces and, obviously, a spacious beach club – all aiming at ensuring direct visual contact with the sea.

62-metre M/Y CRN – Nuvolari Lenard
62 metres long and with a beam of 12 metres, CRN’s hull number 137 is a new captivating naval project developed by CRN’s engineering department in close cooperation with the Italian design firm Nuvolari Lenard, who has handled the concept and the exterior & interior design.

Between the hull and the superstructure, the yacht’s profile develops almost creating a wave-like movement, and making the vessel’s soft, sinuous lines even more charming, while the superstructure ends in a clear-cut vertical line onto the inverted bow – these were the guiding principles during the design and development of CRN’s new pleasure vessel, which will feature a master deck with the owner’s suite located aft and enjoying a magnificent sea view.

Following the signature of the contract in the summer, the construction of this yacht will start at the end of 2016, with the launch scheduled in 2019.

Three new megayachts are currently under construction at CRN’s shipyard, Ferretti Group’s building facility for large crafts, as well as one of the leading pleasure boating hubs in Europe: 79-metre M/Y CRN 135, bound to become the second largest vessel ever built by CRN, with exteriors designed by Zuccon International Project and interiors by Laura Sessa; 74 m M/Y CRN 131, whose exteriors were developed in

cooperation with Zuccon International Project and interiors with Andrew Winch Interior Designer, expected to be launched over the next few months; and a 50 m M/Y Superconero boasting exteriors by Zuccon International Project, who also cooperated with CRN Interior Design for the interiors.

Ferretti Group at Monaco in grand style

At the 26th edition of the Monaco Yacht Show, the Group exhibits Custom Line Navetta 37 and outlines the prospects for further development of the new Superyacht yard of Ancona

After the six world premieres presented at the Cannes Yachting Festival, Ferretti Group arrives at the Monaco Yacht Show to display its offer in the super and mega yacht segment.

The attractions starred at the show are the models of the brands CRN, Riva, Pershing and Custom Line, which celebrates 20 years of history and success with the new Navetta 37, flagship of the semi-displacement fleet, on display in Monaco after having conquered the audience of the Cannes Yachting Festival.

During the press conference that took place in the opening morning of the show, Mr. Alberto Galassi, CEO of Ferretti Group, illustrated, together with Commercial Director, Stefano de Vivo, the Group’s development plan in the super and mega yacht segment, hosted in the yard of Ancona. The yard became, with a major investment on production capacity, the “Superyacht Yard” of the Ferretti and the new centre of excellence of Ferretti Group for the production of ships in composite and light alloy from 30 to 90 meters in length, and is destined to become one of the greatest production plants of this type in Europe.

We believe in the potential of the segment of super and mega yachts. We have invested heavily in recent years to expand Riva’s and Pershing’s offer in this market and we are extending and completely renewing the Navetta fleet of Custom Line” – proudly explained the Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Alberto Galassi.

“Moreover, regarding CRN, we are obtaining a steady growth in revenues and we have expanded the range of naval platforms and design alternatives are all completely custom made. The commitment and resources devoted to the production plant in Ancona today allow us to give birth to the new “Superyachts Yard” of Ferretti Group that will represent the naval excellence of our Group in the field of super yachts, semi-displacement vessels and fully custom mega yachts: flagships of the Italian naval industry, synthesis of luxury, innovation and technology.

This year already € 2,5 million have been allocated for the shipyard’s further development and the amount will reach 20 million euros by the end of 2020. This investment will fund the modernization of equipment already in use and the realization of new infrastructure on the ground and in the sea in order to further facilitate new models’ construction and the development of refitting activities.

The Group’s super and mega yachts segment generated in 2015 an order intake around € 87 million, resulting in a year end forecast of strong growth, expected to reach € 201 million of order intake, of which more than half has been already acquired as of the 31st of August, 2016. As for the year of 2017, we expect to continue the progressive growth. In 2015, the yard in Ancona has achieved a production value of over € 61 million and we expect to close 2016 with a value of production twice that amount, approximately 132 million euros.

During the press conference, in addition to the new Navetta 37, the evolution of the semi-displacement Custom Line fleet has been presented, through the introduction of the new Navetta 33 and the future flagship Navetta 42, currently in the early stages of construction at the “Superyacht Yard” of Ancona and to debut in 2018. The press conference ended with a major announcement for Pershing: the first unit of Pershing 140 has been sold. This event marks the debut of the coupe icon with great performance in the light alloy superyachts’ segment. The new model, under construction in Ancona, will be launched in 2018.

Custom Line Navetta 37
The new flagship of the semi-displacement series is the largest ever built model by Custom Line and is among the largest vessels on show in Cannes. The values of manoeuvrability, comfort, security and personalization – always in the DNA of Custom Line – are revealed in a revolutionary product of style, design and volumes, offering a top of the class model. A yacht of great success, thanks to the four units already sold, pays tribute to the twentieth anniversary of the brand, navigating it, at the same time, toward an even more brilliant future.
