Rated Category B for offshore voyages where conditions up to and including wind force 8 and significant wave heights up to and including 4m may be experienced. Rated to carry up to 16 persons in sheltered waters. There is accomodation for up to 8 persons. The vessel was built in the U.S.A and privately imported into Australia in late 2007. All systems have been converted to adhere to Australian Electrical Compliance standards.
The vessel named “Bell Vie III`” was built in February 2001 and launched in 2004. Included in the vessel is 3 cabins forward on the lower deck serviced by two bathrooms and toilets. Ducted airconditioning is provided to all lower deck areas, the saloon and the upper helm or flybridge deck. The system has four chilled water compressors in the lazarette and individual air handlers with controls in each zone.
The toilets are vacuum assisted, fresh water flushing with a 250 litre black water holding tank. The galley is fitted with a recessed bench mounted Kenyon three element AC cook top, Kenmore microwave/convection oven and two Sub Zero under bench refridgerators.
Bell Vie III is powered by a pair of CATS 3196TA series, six cylinder marine diesels rated to produce 492kW (640 hp) at 2300 rpm. The gearbox is a twin disc MG51114-A with a reduction ratio of 1.92:1. The generator is a Westerbeke 20.0 BEDA series 20kW four cylinder diesel generator, fresh water cooled and is rated to produce 20kW of 120/240v/60Hz running at 1800rpm.
Bel Vie III includes two 24v powered thrusters with the forward unit producing 130kg of thrust and the aft unit 160kg of thrust. Joystick controls at both helms and a wireless remote is fitted. Other features include a washer/dryer in Master statesroom, ducted vacuum system, Raytheon depth sounder, radar, chartplotter, twin VHF radios and Raymarine autopilot. There is a BOSE audio system in master cabin, LCD T.V’s in cabins.
